Anil Pant, Managing Director of computer company Aptech, passes away; was on leave since June
Earlier this year, in the month of June, Aptech had informed that Anil Pant had taken an indefinite leave due to a sudden health decline. It's worth mentioning that the Jhunjhunwala family also holds a stake in Aptech.
Anil Pant, the Managing Director and CEO of computer company Aptech, has passed away. The company has confirmed this in a stock exchange filing. According to the company, Anil Pant breathed his last on Tuesday, August 15. The company further stated that the absence of Pant's contributions and supportive energy will be deeply felt by the Aptech team.
Earlier this year, in the month of June, Aptech had informed that Anil Pant had taken an indefinite leave due to a sudden health decline. An emergency board meeting was held on June 19. The company established an interim committee, including select board members and senior management, to ensure the continuity of regular operations and management. It was mentioned that Aptech is in the process of appointing a Nomination and Remuneration Committee, and selecting an interim CEO. It's worth mentioning that the Jhunjhunwala family also holds a stake in Aptech.

Anil Pant had been the Managing Director and CEO of Aptech since 2016. Prior to taking charge at Aptech, Pant had been associated with companies such as Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Sify Technologies. He had worked in various roles with different companies including BluePasta, Compton Greaves, Wipro, and Tally. Pant held a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) from B.M.S. College of Engineering and a Ph.D. in IT from Lincoln University College, Malaysia.
